Nutshells Talent Management, managers of professional young actors, was established in 1998. Tina Johnson is Talent Manager and Owner. Prior to taking on this entrepreneurial endeavor, Tina worked as a talent agent for J. Michael Bloom & Associates (which has since merged with Innovative Artists in New York City), collaborating with top casting directors to procure jobs for clients in film, television and Broadway projects. In addition to her background as a talent representative, Tina has also held freelance positions in film and television production.
Nutshells finds and develops young talent. We carefully guide our clients through the booking process, from the audition to landing the job. This includes audition preparation with sides, selecting songs and music material for theatre, and choosing photographers for headshots. Nutshells negotiates the best deal possible for each job offer. The idea is for our clients to focus on their talent and simply to have fun!
We have commercial and legit/theatrical relationships with two of the leading New York young talent agencies: CESD Talent Agency and Innovative Artists New York. Additionally, we are a member of Breakdowns Services, a private service used solely by casting directors, producers and talent representatives to share headshots and resumes of actors. Breakdowns is a valued and highly respected tool used by industry insiders and informs its members of the most up to the minute jobs available for actors.
